FINALLY!  Summer is officially here!
I think I was excited as the kids that it was the last day...
now the fun begins!

Mickey's Play

 

 

 

 

 

 

Mickey's class has been preparing for a weather play for some time now.  He had his heart SET on the part of the dog but unfortunately he didn't get it- he did get 3 other parts though and even had a solo singing part!  I think that was the first time I heard him sing alone like that and it was AMAZING!! I'm not even kidding... I don't know where he got that voice!  Not from his parents, that's for sure!  He did an excellent job at all his parts- and it was a really great play.  Jeffrey's teacher even let him leave class to come watch his brother- that meant a lot to Micks.  I can't believe school is over tomorrow!!

Jenny's Bridal Shower

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Today was John's sister Jenny's bridal shower in Valley City.  There was a hat theme- hence all the hats! Mary Beth and I had a great time- I even won a prize in the Name That Tune game.  :)
Can't wait for the wedding!

After the bridal shower we headed to "the farm" for some family fun.  There were geocaching sites set up for each of the grandchildren to find(but prizes enough for all the kids at each site of course!)- they had such a great time on their treasure hunt!  That was such a great/special idea and made lasting memories for all the grandkids.  John's mom even made a special treasure bag for each of the kids to store their surprises.  So cute!

Jeffrey's First Communion and Confirmation

Yesterday Jeffrey made his First Holy Communion and was also Confirmed.

 

 

 

He picked "Anthony" for his Confirmation name... in honor/memory of his Great Uncle Tony who recently passed away.  That was very special to my family.

 

John's Mom was Jeffrey's Confirmation sponsor.

 

 

 

 

 

We had a little party afterwards in the backyard.  Jeffry wanted a simple lemon cake and so that's what I made him!  He looked at all the fancy cakes and the store and kept saying no- I just want a regular lemon cake.  That's my little Feffers.  Happy special day baby boy!

Jeffrey Spring Music Concert

 

 

 

 

 

 

Jeffrey's class had their music performance today- open to families.  It was so cute- he really loves playing the recorder!  They also sang "Colors of the Wind" from the Pocahontas movie and it literally brought me to tears.  I asked him if he was going to join choir next year though and he said no way- he hates singing.  :)  Mommy and Daddy loved your concert Jeffrey- we are so proud of you!
