Kindergarten Zoo Field Trip

Today Mary Beth's class went on an end of the year field trip to the zoo. John and I were able to go and experience the fun adventure with all of the cute little Kindergarteners. I can't believe school is almost over! I want her to be in Kinder forever....

bad mitten

one day we were at an estate sale and Jeffrey had an eye on this antique badminton set. It was priced at $8 but the guy said everything was half off. Jeffrey only had a $1 in his hand. he kept staring at it until the guy said he could have it for $1. :)
it's great except for it only came with one racket. Mick won a racket at school so we have 2. then we use 2 tennis rackets also.

the kids love playing although they need a lot of practice- apparently it's really hard to hit the birdie! i heart badminton. (did you know it was spelled/pronounced that way?!?)

sorry for the blurry shots- they were really movin'!

Oh, and yesterday Mary Beth learned to ride her bike without training wheels! :)

2 down, 1 left to go! (Jeffrey)

Numbered "Pottery Barn" Jars

I found these jars at Tuesday Morning for only $4 each!!

They are exactly like the Pottery Barn one- I was so excited...

I decided to do beach-y stuff in them after much thought: shells, sea glass, and sand.

Last week was a lucky week for finding great stuff... more to come!

Kindergarten Kindness Walk

Yesterday Mary Beth's class went on a "Kindness Walk" around the neighborhood their school is in. They hung cute drawings on people's doorknobs and a message that said "Thank you for being a good neighbor to Hawthorne School." Isn't that sweet?

Beagles don't care about Mother's Day

Here's what went on the other day for about an hour straight...

I stood in the kitchen banging on my window repeatedly yelling "get down!"

with my serious mad face and voice...

as you can see it had absolutely NO effect.

Although she did decide it wasn't working to hide behind a plant and moved herself into plain view to commence the stare down.

This picture pretty much sums it all up:

ugh... pets! ingrates.
