Eliott's graduation party- part 1

On June 2nd we headed to Minneapolis for Eliott's high school graduation. We all turned it into a long weekend and were able to do a lot of activities together.
On June 3rd we spent the afternoon at the Brooks' house celebrating Eliott's graduation. I took a zillion pictures and finally got around to uploading them all(it took an entire day). There were so many good ones it was hard to narrow them down so get ready because there are A LOT. I broke them into 2 posts- the next one will come tomorrow. Hope everyone enjoys them!

Oh and PS: I've been filling in a lot of missed days here and there(June and a little late May) so be sure to scroll back in the blog or use the titles on the side to view the ones you missed. I've been trying to keep them in order. I've been having a ton of trouble with my computers- we need a new one but I keep putting it off because it's a huge purchase(we want a Mac)- so that is why my blogging has been so sporadic and delayed this summer. I'm trying to catch up now and do better so keep coming back please! :)

gardening and slip n' sliding

it was finally a nice day outside and so we pulled out the slip n' slide for the first time this year. sadly, we discovered there was a hole in the blow up part at the end- the kids were sad because we've had it since we moved to Bismarck 7 years ago. it's Backyardagins. oh well, they still managed to make it work and I guess 7 years from a $5 slip n' slide isn't bad- it's the sentiment that goes a long with it though...

the Porter siblings

these were taken at Eliott's graduation party- I love the last one the best but I don't know why there is that blurry spot in the lower left hand corner! :(
Oh well, still- cute pictures, don't ya think?

golf

today was Mickey's first day of golf lessons... we think this will be a sport he will love
for 2 reasons: the outfits and the slow, individualized pace

UPDATE: Mickey does indeed heart golf and Jeffrey decided to take lessons with him-
thereby adding a 3rd reason for Mickey to love it

Children's Museum- St. Paul

Yup, these are from the Minneapolis trip in the beginning of June- just now getting them posted. But the good news is that today John brought me home a BIG present: a new laptop! I have been without a normal working computer for a long time now and it has been SO frustrating! I was a bit sick about how much money we spent but it was time and we got a mac so it should last forever. Hopefully the blogging can resume on a regular basis now that I can actually transfer pictures over from my camera!
In other news our 3 year old, very expensive front load washing machine broke and we are quickly running out of clothes. I've never wanted to do laundry so much in my life. Tomorrow it is off to the laundry mat- the kids are intrigued by the idea. :)
Also, we had our annual rummage sale last weekend and I made $750. Not as great as last year's $1700 but it will do...(I suppose that went towards the new computer). I just didn't have the volume or stuff I had last year. I might start skipping a year. On the up side, the kids had a VERY successful lemonade and brownie stand: they made $75!! That's BONKERS!
